Manx Telecom has announced the appointment of Lyle Krause and Sam Tipper to its Corporate Sales team.

Lyle joins from a similar role at Sure, having moved to the Isle of Man in 2018. He has previously worked as Account Manager and Account Executive for a number of South African marketing companies as well as co-founding two start-up businesses. A graduate in Business Administration from the University of South Africa in Pretoria, he is also co-creator of an innovative flat-pack collapsible school desk designed for use in rural South Africa and other communities where many students lack basic equipment.

Commenting on his new position Lyle said he was looking forward to supporting small businesses on the Isle of Man: “The Manx SME sector is full of hidden gems and success stories – every day I come across something that inspires me.

“Clearly it has been a challenging year for many businesses on the Island but the SME market thrives in the opportunities such times present and I am keen to contribute by helping businesses to operate efficiently and effectively.”

Sam Tipper has returned to Manx Telecom as a Senior Account Manager, after working in a business development role for a local cryptocurrency firm. An Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Sam also holds a diploma in accounting and business from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Building strong business relationships for the future will be a key focus for Sam, who said: “The past few months have demonstrated how critical it is for companies of all sizes to be able to adapt quickly and communicate digitally. I’m delighted to be part of a Manx Telecom team that is leading the way in assisting Island-based businesses to embrace new technologies.”

Welcoming both Lyle and Sam to the team, Head of Corporate Sales Scott Bradley said they would play an important role in supporting Manx Telecom’s business customers. “Many SMEs have had to radically change the way they work and communicate – both with their staff and their customers – during the past six months. We’re here to help them ensure they have the right services and support at the right time.

“With both Lyle and Sam having had direct experience of working in SMEs, they will bring valuable insight to the team and will be well-placed to help our clients with their recovery and growth plans in the months and years ahead.”
