Major new sponsorship for Isle of Play

Just in time for the summer holidays, Isle of Play has taken delivery of a brand new, fully sponsored VW van from Jacksons and Motor Mall.

One of the most popular charities on the island, Isle of Play is focused around the core principle of fulfilling children’s ‘Right to Play’. Managed and run by the two Chris’s, Chris Gregory and Chris King, Isle of Play have changed the island landscape for children of all ages and abilities through their innovative schemes including ‘Playing Out’, ‘Forest Schools’ and their new ‘Adventure Playground’.

Chris Gregory explained the importance of this major new sponsorship to Isle of Play: “From the first meeting, we could see straight away that Jacksons understood the importance of the work we do. Our current van is on its last legs which was a major concern for us and the play schemes we run. I cannot express how much this amazing new van means to us, and the thousands of children, and parents, who will benefit.

It’s perhaps even more important at this time as we learn to live with the new normal from Covid-19. Children haven’t been able to mix with their friends properly for months now and the psychological effect is taking its toll on many of the island’s youngsters. We are now focused on reversing that as quickly as possible and instilling a joyful and playful spirit that we hope children will carry through their whole life.”

Mirelle Saxon, the Group’s van and commercial specialist, was delighted to hand the keys over to a very excited Isle of Play team; Chris Gregory, Chris King and Eva Boyd.
