The number of people out of work in the Isle of Man fell by 115 in September but was still 565 higher than the corresponding month last year.
The figures are contained in the latest Manx Government Labour Market report. It shows that the unemployment rate for the Island currently stands at 2.1 per cent, down slightly from 2.3 per cent. A total of 692 job vacancies were notified to the Job Centre in September 2020 – up 37 on the August figure. Of these, 54% (213) were full time positions and 46% (182) were part time.
