Jobless figure dips below 2 per cent

The number of people out of work in the Isle of Man fell by 88 in October to stand at 797 – an unemployment rate of 1.9 per cent of the economically active population. The figure is 465 up on the same period in 2019.

During the period the number of job vacancies notified to the Job Centre was 668 – a fall of 24 over the September figure.

Of those currently looking for work 495 are male and 302 are female.
