Government cuts back further on virus briefings

The Manx Government’s live streamed press briefings on the Coronavirus are being further reduced to just one a week – to be held on Thursday afternoons at 4pm.

The Isle of Man is now coronavirus free and the briefings have gradually come down from seven days a week. It’s expected that if we remain clear of the virus they will be phased out completely.

The last recorded case of Covid19 was more than six weeks ago. Meanwhile, it’s thought that the Chief Minister may announce the first easing of the Island’s closed border policy next Thursday. It would take the Island to level four, which would allow people to travel off Island, but require them to commit to two weeks self isolation on their return.
