‘Difficult few weeks ahead’ – Chief Minister

The Isle of Man will start the New Year (tomorrow) amid a surge in the number of Covid 19 cases.

The Chief Minister says Islanders must prepare for a difficult few weeks. His comments come as the Omicron variant of Covid 19 continues its rapid spread in the Island.

Visits to Manx Care facilities are restricted in Manx Care settings from today, as government prepares to closely monitor the situation in the days ahead.

Another 504 cases of Covid 19 were reported today, taking the total of positive cases in the community over 2,000.
