Big surge in Covid 19 infections increases pressure on Manx Care

The latest surge in Covid 19 cases in the Isle of Man has increased pressure on Manx Care. Hospital visits are being temporarily restricted and non-emergency appointments cancelled.

In the last 24 hours, 576 new Covid-19 cases have been detected taking the number of active cases on the Island to 1,825.

Of those, 523 are positive LFT results and 53 relate to PCR tests.

Despite the surge in case numbers there has been no increase in the number of people being treated for the virus in Nobles Hospital, which stands at seven.

Nobody is being treated in intensive care for Covid 19.
